Fermentation is an integral part of all biotechnological processes. Understanding effect of process parameters and environmental conditions on the growth and synthesis of products by microbes helps in quick process development. Fermentation, centrifugation, filtration, membrane applications, extraction, concentration and drying coupled with quick chromatographic and spectrophometric analysis of the products are our routine activities. Projects with industry participation have been our plus point for decades. Currently, fermentation processes in miniaturized bioreactors are being studied to hasten the screening procedures for production of compounds through microbial fermentation.
